Schmetz Embroidery Needles are available in various sizes (cross-sectional diameter). Sizes start from 75nm (0.75mm thickness) up to 90nm (0.9mm thickness).

For embroidering with metallic or decorative threads. Has a larger eye and longer scarf to minimise fraying and breakage.

The size you require is basically dependant on the weight / material thickness and that of the thread you are embroidering with.

For ease of identification, Schmetz stamp the needle size on the shank of every needle they manufacture plus add a coloured tip. The Embroidery Needle Tip is a: RED TIP.
